The Launch Announcement of Diploma in Digital Design

At Virtualtech Frontier, our mission is to empower the next generation of digital talent through innovation, creativity, and technology. As one of Malaysia’s pioneers in immersive solutions, we bring hands-on industry expertise in AI, XR, gamification, and digital storytelling to bridge the gap between academia and the real-world workforce.

By partnering with Taylor’s College, we ensure that students of the Diploma in Digital Design gain access to future-ready skills, industry-relevant insights, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies that prepare them for high-demand careers in the creative and digital economy.

Our value lies in transforming education into an experiential journey, one where young creators are not only equipped to adapt to the industry, but also to lead innovation and shape the future of digital design.

Work-Based Learning (WBL)

VTF partners with this course on Work-Based Learning (WBL) programme, a 20-week journey that takes students out of the classroom and into the real world.

This is where VTF comes in. As an industry partner, we give students the chance to experience what it’s really like working on projects that combine design, immersive technology, and AI-driven creativity. Instead of just theory, they get to roll up their sleeves and be part of live projects that mirror actual client work.

From experimenting with XR design and gamification to exploring interactive storytelling and AI-powered content, students learn how to apply creativity in ways that solve real challenges. It’s not just about building portfolios, it’s about gaining career-ready skills and preparing to stand out in Malaysia’s fast-growing digital and creative industry.

Beyond VTF, Taylor’s also collaborates with other leading industry partners such as CraveFX, FusionWorks, iTrainKids, Geek Fam, and Cause Effect Consultants. Together, this ecosystem of creative and tech innovators ensures that students receive well-rounded industry exposure and mentorship.

Conclusion

This collaboration marks a milestone in how education and industry can come together to reimagine learning. By integrating Work-Based Learning into the Diploma in Digital Design, we ensure that students don’t just study creativity, they practice it, apply it, and bring it to life.

At VTF, our mission has always been to push the boundaries of immersive technology and empower the next generation. Through this partnership, we are proud to play a role in shaping Malaysia’s future digital talent, one project, one student, and one breakthrough at a time.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Taylor’s College, Josephine Tan, Campus Director of Taylor’s College, and Hijjaz Hamidi, Programme Director of the Diploma in Digital Design, for their vision and leadership in making this collaboration possible. Together, we are shaping a future where innovation and education go hand in hand.
